During our initial consultation, we’ll cover everything from the design process to the construction timeline. Our primary goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and have a clear understanding of what to expect.

Construction

Our attention to detail means every aspect of your home's construction receives the utmost care. As we start the construction of your home, we'll keep you regularly informed about progress and any necessary adjustments. We want you to feel involved in the process, and if you ever have any questions, we’re here to help. You'll also have the opportunity to walk through the site during various stages of construction, with real-time updates conveniently accessible through our JobTread software.

Step 04.

Move-In

When your new home is completed and ready for move-in, we'll walk you through every last detail. Our aim is for you to feel the utmost satisfaction and anticipation for your new living space. We’ll cover all of the warranty information and make sure all of your questions and concerns have been answered and addressed. If anything comes up after the project is completed, we are always a phone call away!

  • Costs vary widely depending on location, finishes, and engineering needs, but most custom homes in Denver fall in the $375–$475 per sq/ft range. Mountain and foothill lots can run higher due to access, grading, or soil work. The biggest cost drivers are the lot, structural engineering, and the level of finish.

  • We build year-round in Colorado, but our preferred time to start excavation is late summer through fall. Those months are typically drier and more stable, which helps with site access, earthwork, and concrete. Winter is a great time for planning and permitting so the project is ready to go when conditions improve. Spring is the one season we avoid for starting because rain and snow can make excavation difficult and cause early delays.

  • Look for a builder with experience in your style of home and your specific municipality or county. Ask how they structure budgets, manage selections, and communicate during the build. Transparency on pricing and timeline is just as important as craftsmanship.

  • The foundation and framing are typically the largest expenses since they involve heavy materials and skilled labor. Major systems like plumbing, HVAC, and electrical also add significant cost. Interior finishes, especially kitchens and bathrooms, can vary widely depending on customization. Plumbing fixtures, tile, countertops, and cabinetry often drive these costs, though there are many cost-effective choices available to manage your budget.

  • Most full custom builds in Colorado take 12–18 months from design through completion. The permitting and design phase often lasts several months before construction begins. Weather, lot conditions, and selections can also affect the overall schedule.
