Our Mission Does Not Change, Even When the Projects Do

At Forest St. Builders, our mission is simple:

To build you a better life by crafting exceptional houses and offering a seamless construction experience.

Every project we take on looks different. Some homes are more than a century old. Others are designed to push modern building science forward. Some require preserving intricate historic details. Others begin with a blank site and a bold vision.

  • The style may change.

  • The scope may change.

  • The complexity may change.

But our mission and core values do not. In fact, they do quite the opposite.

Forest St. Build The Sinclair

They guide how we build, how we communicate, and how we show up every day on site, especially when projects are complex and timelines are demanding. While some builders may cut corners when workloads increase, that is never something you have to worry about with Forest St.

Our standards do not shift. Our approach does not waver. And the care we bring to each home remains the same, no matter the project.

The Values Behind Every Home

Communication

The way we share information shapes trust, collaboration, and alignment across our team and with our partners.

Residential construction can be complex, and we do not expect our clients to be experts in the process. You have full lives outside of this project, and our role is to manage the details so they do not become a source of stress or uncertainty.

That is why we prioritize communication that is clear, consistent, and honest at every stage. From early planning conversations through active construction, we focus on keeping you informed, providing context, and addressing questions as they arise. When communication is handled well, the process feels organized and intentional.

Our goal is not just to build a well-crafted home, but to ensure you understand what is happening and why, without feeling like you need to oversee every detail.

We see communication as the foundation of trust, allowing you to rely on our expertise and move through the process with confidence from start to finish.

Quality

Excellence is achieved through intention, consistency, and attention to detail.

Quality is not a single decision made at the end of a project. It is a disciplined approach applied every day. It shows up in how we frame a wall, how we reinforce a structure, how we coordinate with trades, and how we think through performance, durability, and long-term comfort.

We believe that quality lives in the details, especially the ones most people never see. We do not cut corners, and we do not prioritize surface-level finishes over the fundamentals that truly matter. Much of what we do begins with the right foundation, careful planning, and precise execution. Even when those elements are hidden behind walls or beneath floors, they are done with the same level of care and intention.

Teamwork

The Forest St. Team

Strong outcomes are built through collaboration, shared trust, and mutual support.

Exceptional homes are built by aligned teams. Teamwork is central to how we operate and to the culture we have built. We believe that when people care about their work and enjoy what they do, it shows in the finished product. Our team is made up of experienced professionals who each bring something different to the table, whether that is technical expertise, craftsmanship, or problem-solving. We prioritize being dependable, responsive, and helpful because strong collaboration requires trust in every direction. Our team is intentionally built to fill gaps, support one another, and create not only successful homes but also trusted, long-term partnerships.

Our Commitment in Action

There are a lot of exciting things happening at Forest St. Builders, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with so many families and homes at once.

Even in a season of momentum, our commitment does not change. We do not sacrifice communication, quality, or teamwork when things get busy. Right now, we are wrapping up three very different projects: The Powers, The Elizabeth, and The Alexander. Each one varies in style, history, and complexity. They could not look more different. Yet the level of care, attention, and service behind them remains the same.

The Powers

Originally constructed over a century ago, this classic Denver Square is undergoing a thoughtful remodel and addition that preserves its historic character while improving functionality for modern living.

The scope includes layout updates, a reimagined basement, structural reinforcements, and new roof trusses that create a playful children’s space known as “Eagles Nest.”

Interior finishes and custom millwork are well underway, with exterior plaster preparation in progress. A Warmboard in-floor radiant heating system will provide efficient, year-round comfort without drying out Denver’s already arid air. The home will also include a whole-house humidifier and an ERV, acting as a set of lungs for the house by continuously bringing in fresh, balanced air.

The Elizabeth

The Elizabeth is a 105-year-old two-story brick home filled with original woodworking, coffered ceilings, and enduring character.

The project includes a two-story rear addition that expands the home from 3 bedrooms and 1 bath to 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, along with a new central kitchen and additional basement space.

The renovation also introduces an outdoor entertainment area with a wrap-around deck and ground-level patio, while carefully preserving the historic details that define the home.

The Alexander

The Alexander is a ground-up new build in Denver’s Crestmore neighborhood, designed using Passive House building science principles.

The home is being constructed to outperform a typical Denver residence through enhanced air sealing, thicker insulation, and high-performance systems that support energy efficiency, comfort, and indoor air quality. An ERV system will continuously filter and circulate fresh air throughout the home, supporting healthy indoor air quality year-round, even during wildfire season.

Early construction focused on a high-performance foundation system tailored to Denver’s soil conditions, including bentonite clay. A full perimeter drain was installed to manage moisture, along with a robust below-slab assembly that includes 10 inches of insulation, crushed washed rock, radon mitigation, and a vapor barrier. Basement walls received continuous insulation, and the project has moved into backfilling, setting the stage for framing and the next phase of construction.

Every home starts with a conversation.

If you are exploring a renovation, addition, or high-performance new build and value clear communication, quality craftsmanship, and a collaborative process, we invite you to connect with our team.
